We provide effective treatments for a wide range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety and depression. Our approach focusses on evidence-based treatment and is caring and sensitive to individual’s needs. We provide a supportive and confidential environment that allows you share your concerns and work collaboratively for the best outcome.

Our practice is staffed by psychologists who have a wide range of experience and expertise. As well as having a minimum qualification of a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, all psychologists are committed to keeping up-to-date with research and scientifically-validated treatments. Psychologists in the practice are members of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association or members of the College of Clinical Psychologists of the Australian Psychological Society.

We are conveniently located in Summer Hill in Sydney’s Inner West.

Sally Hopwood

ABOUT US

Sally Hopwood is the Principal Clinical Psychologist at IWCP. She has over twenty years experience with assisting people with a wide range of psychological problems. Her approach focusses on evidence-based treatments and is caring and sensitive to individuals' needs. Sally’s therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Sally has particular expertise in assisting people who are having difficulties coping with traumatic events or loss. She has been involved in the research and the development of innovative treatment programs for people who have experienced trauma, and has published articles in this area. She has also trained psychologists and other mental health professionals both here and overseas, and has lectured in the Doctorate program at the University of Sydney.

Sally has a Masters Degree qualification in Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (AACBT). Sally is currently doing a PhD at the University of New South Wales looking at the role of attachment processes in post-traumatic stress.
